School principal for the entire 13 years was Harrison E. Williams.

About 10 to 12 graduates were kindergarten classmates so we lost many and gained many along the way.

NEWS EVENTS

Harry S Truman was our President throughout our High School years (and for almost another 4 years after, for that matter).

World War II ended just prior to our Sophomore year and soon after the Cold War with the U.S.S.R. began.

Popular songs of 1948: Buttons and Bows, 12th Street Rag, Nature Boy, I'm Looking Over A Four Leaf Clover, and You Can't Be True, Dear.

In Television, in 1948, Milton Berle hosted the "Texaco Star Theater" which became a very popular variety show.
