The NW corner of Main and Maple, from the Everts Atlas of 1876. When I was a kid in the 1950s, the Woodruff-Rathbone building had become an IGA grocery store managed by Mr. Thompson, and the Hackley store was a meat market. The building burned to the ground in the 1980s, and there is a vacant lot there now.
