The Spear Grocery Store and the Cooper Bakery, from a postcard dated 1912. This building, at the corner of Forest and Main, later became Peterson's Drug Store, and remains a pharmacy today. The building to the right is the Arnold House hotel, which was demolished by Peterson's in 1965 to make room for a parking lot. C.A. Spear was a local grocer, merchandiser and insurance agent who lived on Webber Avenue. He published many of the postcards in the Old Oakfield gallery. Look at them watermelons!
